Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive
Hair Oil Review by Saniya

A lot of girls ask me about the secret to gorgeous tresses. Trust me when I say that it is “oiling”. The good ol’ champi has umpteen benefits for your hair, scalp and mental well-being. A good oil massage also de-stresses you and give strength to the roots. I have been into coconut oil massages a while back but now olive oil seems to be trending! The trend is not just a fad as olive oil is also equally beneficial as the coconut oil. I tried the recently launched “Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Hair Oil” and I am quite pleased with it. Read on to know more…

Dabur Says:
The effectiveness of Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Hair Oil lies in its miraculous ingredients. We’ve put together the wholesome nourishment of olive oil with the goodness of almond protein and aloe vera, thoughtfully chosen after taking into consideration the problems that have long bothered millions of women. From big hair problems like hair fall, flaky scalp, brittle hair to minor hair woes such as dry hair, frizzy hair or split ends, vatika olive hair oil has the potential to answer them all.

My Experience:
I oil my hair twice a week and make sure I leave the oil overnight. I do it out of habit. Since childhood I have been following the “champi” routine. I have switched my regular coconut oil with this oil for the past one month and here is the report.

The Dabur Oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle with green cap. The cap is sturdy and opens with a jerk which makes it travel friendly. The oil is pale green in color and has a runny consistency which makes it really easy to apply, unlike the thicker oils!

This oil is as greasy as a the regular coconut oil or even the regular olive oil that I use. I am used to these kind of oils as these oils can be massaged so well and get soaked up by the scalp and hair to provide optimum nourishment. It has a very pleasant smell which I am quite fond of. Those with sensitive noses might find it a little too much!

After the good massage with the oil, I leave it on overnight. After the wash, my hair feels so soft and nourished! It has helped in controlling hair-fall to some extent too! So if you have a major hair-fall issue, this might save a few of your strands (as in case of my Mom!). Thankfully I suffer the usual two or three strands breakage which break nevertheless!

Pros:
Travel friendly packaging
Doesn’t cause any irritation
Makes hair softer
My hair look and feel more nourished
Helps if you have major hair fall issue
Takes care of itchy scalp
Affordable
Has goodness of almond, olive oil, aloe vera and hibiscus

Cons:
Sensitive noses might find fragrance too much
Has silicones

Product Specifications:
Price: Rs 60 for 100ml/ Rs 110 for 200ml
Value for Moolah: 4/5

Overall, I loved the oil as it helps to nourish my hair from within which shows on the outside. It has an awesome ingredients list so that makes it a must use hair oil. Not to forget that it is so widely available and so pocket friendly too. Highly recommended!!
