Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive
Hair Oil Review by Niesha
I will review Dabur Vatika Olive hair oil. This is the newly launched hair oil from Dabur. Dabur is being known for its hair oils like coconut, hot oils etc and some other products.
Price- It is priced at 110 rupees for 200 ml bottle and there is a smaller 100 ml bottle also available.

Brand claims "New Dabur vatika Enriched Olive oil with Olives, almond proteins and aloe vera gives extra nourishment, hairfall control and makes hair stronger and bouncy" The oil comes in a flip top cap pack which makes it rather easy to use as compared with some other oils with not so user friendly packaging. The cap is tightly shut and there is no leakage. Therefore, that way, it is safe to travel with, else there is always a worry that the oil may not spill and ruin the other products.

Ingredients: see the picture.
This olive oil has a very light formula and a light plant green color, which smells like some herbs mixed with mild fragrance. I saw that the oil contains sugandhit dravya means scented liquid so that may be due to that. Olive oil doesn't emit an over the top characteristic smell, as I have used olive oil earlier as well, so I could not make out the smell of olive oil from this hair oil. Since it's very light weight, its easier to massage your scalp and also due to that, it doesn't feel too sticky.

My mum is the one who is using this as I am using some other (stay tuned I will review that oil very soon). Coming back So, my mum is facing some hair fall and her hair is quite on the normal side which means they are not too dry, curly etc. they are pretty manageable.

Ever since she has been using this, yes, like most of the hair oils, her hair looks shiny and smoother. The oil is very light in texture. She doesn't see that it has weigh them down or made the hair too sticky. Even if, she uses the oil for massaging, the smell is pretty okay, devoid of too strong fragrance therefore, can be kept overnight easily. Washing it the next day isn't a tedious task. It gets rinsed off real quickly as compared to the coconut oil that is bit heavier and needs more shampoo to get rid of it. She hasn't really seen any improvement in her hairfall as such but hair looks healthier. It is a decent hair oil I would say. This bottle of 200 ml will last long.

While checking its ingredients, I saw that it has Bhringraj, hibiscus which are known to promote hair growth but they haven't mentioned the amount or percentage of Olive oil in it which they should have mentioned. I was not expecting it to be pure olive oil but still that would have been good if the amount have been there.

Pros of Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Oil:
Olive oil, aloe Vera, Hibiscus, Bhringraj, Vitamin E
Hair look shinier and smoother
Okay fragrance
Light weight formula
Isn't too sticky
Easy to get rinsed off
Lesser tangles

Cons of Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Oil:
Olive oil's exact amount isn't there
Relief in hairfall was not seen

Rating: 3.75 out of 5

Take: Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Oil comes enriched with not just olive oil but aloe Vera, almond proteins along with a couple of herbs that makes hair manageable and smoother. It is easy to get rinsed off and doesn't emit hard to bear smell. It's a decent oil to try though hairfall is something where it has not shown its effects yet!
