Expert Skin Care Tips
Ageing is a beautiful and natural process. But it also comes with its own set of problems. Skin is the first to get affected and signs of ageing start appearing much before you are ready. Many skin problems can take over you by surprise and the key is to prepare better. But can you really prepare for it? It’s ageing after all- inevitable truth of life. The answer is, yes. You can prepare for it naturally using a few skin care tips. Let’s look at the signs of aging in some detail first.

Thinning – The deepest layer of the skin slows its rate of cell production and hence the skin becomes thin. This means that skin is more likely to crease and wrinkle.

Sagging – Older skin is more like to sag and droop since it produces less elastin and collagen. Gravity plays its part and creates jowls along the jaw and bags under the eyes.

Wrinkles – One of the scariest skin problems for the ladies, wrinkles, can start developing as early as mid-twenties! It is caused by reduced elastin and collagen and the thinning of skin. Don’t get scared, you can still help yourself.

Age spots – Age spots develop due to the grouping of the remaining pigment cells in certain areas. They particularly appear in areas that have been exposed to the sun longer.

Dryness – Since older skin has fewer sweat glands and oil glands, it is more prone to skin problems related to dryness, such as roughness and itching.

Broken blood vessels – Blood vessels become more likely to break and bruise. They may also become permanently widened. This is commonly known as broken vessels.

Dark spots – These are spots caused due to hyper pigmentation as a result of sun damage, or inflammation.

Now don’t panic. As is said, prevention is better than cure. Start early with your skin care regimen, plan well and you can have younger looking skin which is not at all unnatural or unhealthy. In fact, due to our lifestyle, pollution and use of make-up and chemicals, our generation has a tendency to age faster than usual. So, turn that around and be more natural and careful about your skin’s health. Follow these healthy skin care tips to revel beautiful and glowing skin!

Limit sun exposure and use sunscreen – Girls of all ages need to make a moisturizer with SPF a part of their daily routine each morning. Protecting skin against the sun's powerful and damaging UVA and UVB rays is a must. It accelerates ageing of the skin. Avoid sunbathing and wear a hat, loose-fitting clothes, and sunglasses.

Don’t smoke – Cigarette smoking is not just harmful for your lungs but also promotes skin wrinkling and is known to accelerate the damage caused by sun exposure .

Moisturise regularly – Dry skin is more likely to show fine lines and wrinkles. Moisturise regularly if you have dry skin. Use Dabur Gulabari rose water and moisturiser to hydrate and replenish your skin.

Care for skin gently – Age-related dryness will be further exacerbated by skin irritants such as perfumed soaps, heavily chlorinated swimming pools and long hot showers. Use soaps, body washes or shampoos that are ‘neutral’ and pH-balanced (neither too acidic nor too alkaline).

Bleach your skin– Signs of ageing like freckles, wrinkles and moles can also be repaired through bleaching. Bleach your skin using Fem fairness bleach range. It can fix or even prevent the onset of some causes of skin tanning. Oxy bleach also improves oxygen flow in your skin without which your skin may appear dull.

With these skin care tips, you can now tackle all skin problems arising out of ageing. Tick tock, tick tock. Turn back the clock! Also read on how to get fair skin naturally.
